I am very active and have a long list of physical issues that I’ve overcome. On this journey I have been in the care of many physical therapy clinics, and OST is the best one I’ve ever come across.
First and foremost, it is so rare to find a place that ONLY has PTs. You get assigned a PT and only work with them, start to finish, every session. So often in the past I would be passed off to a tech or intern that had questionable knowledge of the exercises I was assigned. At OST, I received detailed, in-depth, minuscule instructions on my exercises – which is so important. I loved the nitty-gritty instructions, and having someone with a trained eye look at me while I do the exercises. It’s easy to think you’re doing it right, when you’re not.
The injury assessment at OST is excellent. If you come in with a wrist issue, the problem might be in your wrist, but it could be in your forearm, your elbow, your shoulder, or even your neck. This happened to a friend I referred, he thought he had a wrist problem, but he actually had a neck problem, and fixing the neck, fixed the wrist.
I came in with a really tricky knee problem that had been haunting me for YEARS. Pam, my PT, was the first person ever to connect my knee issue, with some kind of nerve impingement stemming from my lower back and quad. This is why I could never resolve it previously, because I was told I had arthritis, or this or that, or my knee was fine, but I never got to the root. I did end up using the help of an additional resource to fully resolve it, but the discovery of the nerve issue was ground breaking and I am so grateful to OST for all the amazing work. Not just with my knee, but also my shoulder, and my wrist, and …. hahahhah
I highly recommend OST to anyone, whether you are recovering from an injury or looking for help with a chronic issue. Thank you Pam and team! I can’t wait to see you again, although I CAN wait to need to see you again. Mixed emotions.
